Interesting Tidbits

Here are a few things I'd be digging into if I wasn't trying to wrap up the school year:

1.  The SEC action against Goldman Sachs.  And some of the insights from SEC officials at the Tulane Corporate Law Institute that just wrapped up here in NOLA.

2.  Obama's "request" memo to HHS trying to get them to use Medicare and Medicaid as federal tentacles to force social change.  What about the enabling acts HHS has to comply with...you know, the law?  I don't really have any problem with the end result - I'm just concerned with the process.

3.  Volokh's running smackdown of Dahlia Lithwick's logic on Supreme Court nominations.
