"We’re on second base faster than we thought, but we didn’t hit a double." So says, among other things, Indiana Governor Mitch Daniels. That just might be the best analogy I've seen about the current political situation. We hit a single, but we're only on second because of a throwing error.
It's a great place to be, and we are in scoring position, but we still have a ways to go. Great advice to Republicans for the 2010 midterms.
