Spring is really beginning to get into gear here in Wisconsin, and I took a stroll around Neenah with my dog Tesla this afternoon. I can't prove it, but my understanding is that Neenah had, well into the 1970s at least, the highest per-capita GDP of any city in the US: home to companies like Kimberly-Clark and the Neenah Foundry (you might have seen their manhole covers), the mill owners lived in Neenah; the mill workers lived next door in Menasha.
Pics after the jump:
A lonely seagull on the spillway.
Neenah towers, old and new.
Even our fountains bundle up for winter.
Danger! Dam!
