Tomorrow's the day they'll decide who gets the 2016 summer Olympics. As you could expect, the Chicago newspapers are on it (Tribune, Sun Times).
It seems like it's neck and neck between Chicago and Rio. Madrid and Tokyo are the others.
I don't feel strongly either way. It'll be neat for Chicago but it's going to cost a lot of money. To me it seems like encouraging films and other media to come to the city might be a better way to raise the image of the city.
A bonus of Chicago Olympics would be that some of the events may actually be in the Madison area.
