Here's the main reading room of the Grainger Engineering Library. It's a very nice library, much nicer than the UW's engineering library. This view of the exterior is the opposite view of the last photo I put up:
I think the building looks a little strange. I can't put my finger on it. Maybe with the walls and the size of the windows, it looks like it has a texture that buildings don't normally have. Maybe the architect is mocking the neighboring old buildings? Perhaps surreal is the word? The look of it reminds me of this painting.
