Quick question on health care debate

Something about the health care debate is really bugging me. If you listen to Democrat leaders in DC or to the liberal blogs and talking-heads, you pretty much get the impression that Republicans will do anything to kill "meaningful" health care reform. This bugs me because the attitude is such that Republicans basically want old people and poor people to die - that Republicans hate the President so much that we would block health care for all just for laughs.

That's stupid. We all want everyone to have access to quality, affordable care. We differ - by huge margins - on how to get there. Can we please acknowledge this and have a serious debate now? Please?
