We were told that without the stimulus, the unemployment rate would hit over 9%. With the stimulus plan, it wouldn't get any higher than 8%.

Well, today we stand at 8.9%. Kind of makes you feel good about that whole "cut the deficit in half by the end of my first term" talk, doesn't it.
