When It's Sleepy Time Down South
With tonight's Mardis Gras parades canceled due to storms, a tune to set the mood.
Or this version, if you want a bouncing Boswell ball and scrolling, racier time-period lyrics.

|This one, in addition to being an awesome photographer, can "American dance." That's crucial here.
Jeff is kinda in hell, but he's got a stand-up blog.
Donny is my sitemate, and pretty much rocks.
Jenni also rocks (and may have to rockin'-est music collection in the country, but I can't quite say that for sure yet).

|I’m writing to let you know that Mark Olson will be in Madison performing at Café Monmartre on February 12th.
Mark was the founding member and songwriter for the Jayhawks, pioneers of the alt-country movement. He left the band as their biggest single, “Blue” was still climbing the charts so that he could live a simpler life in Joshua Tree with his wife Victoria Williams.
Earlier this year, he released his first solo album, The Salvation Blues, to incredible acclaim. With deeply personal lyrics penned during an introspective journey on the trains and walkways of Europe, Mark has entered an entirely new phase in his musical career—and the critics agree that it’s a great one. Among others, the Village Voice calls it “Olson’s finest, most fully realized work,” and Harp pegs this “Olson’s best since his Jayhawks days.”

|Last night, I ran into an 86 year-old gent in the parking lot after getting groceries. He wore a colorful, lively tie. His name was Rene Brunet. It turned out he owned the famous little theater in the the neighborhood, The Prytania. Great guy, great theater
