Will a rabidly pro-Obama viewership permit the hosts to critique the man they put on a pedestal?
I do not think it will. It's largely comprised of those embracing the monolithic anti-Bush youth identity. I won't go so far as Peter Hitchens and call it a cult "bereft of reason and hostile to facts," but it certainly comes close at times. It boos at any hint of skepticism or comedic slight against Obama. And that's unfortunate - because the new administration is going to need a great deal of scrutiny.
Just because Obama plans to oppose and undo much of the Bush policy paradigm, it seems, from the start, (even with control of both houses of Congress) he's not averse to employing aggressive, pro-Executive means that look rather Rovian.
