National Review Online's Jonah Goldberg spoke on campus last night.
He even signed our blog - before breaking the back of his chair at the Rathskellar.
But back to the speech. Steve S set the scene in Grainger Hall, I gave the perspective from my post.
Jonah's opening salvos, replete with biting and humorous quotes were recorded here and here.
The second half of the speech, in which Goldberg denounced "compassionate conservatism" among other things, can be found here.
The multi-simul blogging got fun as Jonah wrapped up - and then Marcus Gumz appeared.
It was a memorable evening - one full of pointed political commentary and rollicking laughter, leavened, of course, with some of Goldberg's characteristic linquistic gems.
